2005 Amador Foothills Rosato

I am still on my Rose kick! This time, I tried the 2005 Amador Foothills Rosato ($10). This is a California wine made from 100% Sangiovese. With the heat, this chilled Rose was a welcome relief. It is drier than the other recent Roses I have had but there was nothing wrong with that. It still had strong fruit flavors, including strawberry and cherry, but they were a bit more subdued. It was crisp, refreshing and had a decent finish.

And at this price, it is a good value as well. Definite Drink & Buy.
