Summer Winter: Now Open

Summer Winter, a new restaurant, has now opened at the Burlington Marriot. It will be open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is a culinary collaboration between chefs Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier. Gaier and Fraiser are the chefs/owners of the renowned Arrows Restaurant located in Ogunquit, Maine.

The menu is said to focus on fresh herbs (grown on the premises in their own greenhouse) and seasonal vegetables. Their menus are listed on their website, though the prices are not there.

Lunch choices include such items as fish tacos, lobster roll, hamburger, grilled cheese, chicken curry, and more. It sounds like a lot of comfort food.

Dinner choices include: roasted chicken, pork confit, baby back ribs, roasted ducvk, fried trout, grilled steaks, grilled tuna, and more. You can order sauces for the table from Numb and Hot Sauce to Pink Peppercorn Butter. You also can choose your starch, from hominy cake to potato & yam gratin. There are veggie sides as well. There are also appetizers and salads.

They also have an oyster bar, with various raw and cold seafood dishes, as well as a regular bar menu (which is similar to their lunch menu).

I will stop by there soon for lunch and/or dinner and will report back when I do.
